Bionrgwood smpc (x knc) was founded in 1997 by wood cooperatives and forest workers of the Prefecture of Drama with the purpose to better exploring the forest wealth of the Prefecture of Drama. The enterprise is active in impregnation with creosote
of wood poles for the needs mainly of Power Public Corporation (PPC) SA and Hellenic Telecommunication Organization (OTE).
The production plant is located at Agios Athanasios region, Drama(16th km Drama-Kavala). The forest complex in Drama is the greatest and most productive in Greece. The abundance of Pinus Silvestris trees and the fact that the forest is growing under benefi cial land and climate conditions make Drama to be considered as the “Forest Metropolis” of Greece. The texture of wood poles the best qualitively raw material for excellent impregnated wood poles.
